Brother SDX1000

The Brother SDX 1000 plotter is a very popular model of craft plotter dedicated to hobbyists and craftsmen. This model has 682 built-in patterns, 9 fonts and 1 MB internal memory. The device reads files saved in SVG and FMC formats, and also allows you to import patterns via a USB connection or WI-FI network. The Brother SDX 1000 plotter replaces one of the most popular models of this manufacturer - CM900.

Possibilities:

Brother SDX 1000, unlike older models, has automatic blade extension and force, which makes working with the device much easier when cutting your own patterns in various media. The device is much quieter than previous models, which resulted in a better operation of the plotter.

The plotter has a new half-cut function, which allows you to cut only the upper layer of foil, which is a great solution when working with self-adhesive foils or flex and flock foils for fabrics.

The device can cut stiff backing materials up to 178 cm directly from the roll, without using a mat; in the case of soft foils, it is recommended to cut it on a plotter mat.

The scanner in this model has a resolution of 600 dpi, which significantly improves the precision of scanning small elements and details.

Patterns

The plotter has a built-in database of patterns, figures and shapes that can be edited, increased and decreased using the touch screen. You can design your own projects in vector graphics programs, such as Corel Draw, Inkscape or the dedicated Brother ScanNCutCanvas program. The device can cut hand-drawn patterns after they are scanned by a plotter.

Additional plotter functions

With the help of additional tools and accessories available in our offer (to be purchased separately), you can also perform gilding, sketch with markers, or cut out fabric elements using dedicated blades.

Gilding kit

With its help, you can create unique decorations on the surface of cards or invitations. The kit includes all the necessary elements for gilding and a set of 50 free patterns.

Cutting fabrics

A rotary blade is great for cutting out fabric and felt patterns. It will allow you to cut felt elements up to 3mm thick. A dedicated handle is required to use a rotary blade. 

If you want to cut in thin fabrics without a backing up to 0.5mm thick, you can use a blade dedicated to thin fabrics, which offers high cutting precision in materials such as tissue paper or knitwear. A blade for thin fabrics should be used with a dedicated handle.
