Description

Cameo Pro MK II is the largest of the hobby plotters available on the market. It is the successor to the Cameo 4 Pro model equipped with the latest manufacturer's solutions in the form of a carriage with power supply, compatible with new tools for gilding and embossing, modernized rollers and drive thanks to which the work is stable and quieter, and accessories that facilitate cutting such as a stand with a basket useful when cutting foil directly from a roll. The plotter, thanks to the possibility of cutting on a 60x60cm mat, allows you to perform large projects, thanks to which you can make various types of decorations with its help, also in a large format.

Plotter possibilities

The plotter cuts in many materials and works with the latest tools from the manufacturer. Thanks to this, you can do many projects with its help, such as:

Cutting in papers up to about 300g and self-adhesive papers
Cutting in self-adhesive and iron-on foils
Sketching (after purchasing manufacturer's pens or a universal holder)
Gilding and embossing (after purchasing tools)
Cutting fabrics and felt up to 1mm thick (after purchasing a rotary blade)
Cutting in soft materials such as creative foam up to 3mm (after purchasing a Kraft blade)
Cutting in manufacturer's creative materials such as magnetic foils, tattoo foils, scratch sheets and many others

Prints cutting

The plotter has the ability to cut prints using the Print&Cut function, and thanks to the new reading technology it will be possible to achieve high cutting precision. This function allows you to make your own stickers, educational cards, scrapbooks, colorful puzzle elements and many other projects.

Software

You can operate the plotter using free, Polish-language Silhouette Studio software, which in its basic version supports files in the formats .studio3, .png, .jpeg, .bmp, .gif, .tiff. It allows you to design patterns yourself and edit free projects available in the library. Advanced design tools will give you huge possibilities, and the intuitive structure of the application will make it easier to get acquainted with computer graphics. If you need even more functions, Silhouette Studio will not disappoint you either - there are also 2 paid extensions of the program - Designer Edition and Business Edition.

The manufacturer's latest solutions

Repeating a task

The function that allows you to repeat a previous task, expected by many users, will allow you to automate the cutting process in various types of materials. Simply click the flashing button on the plotter housing, and the machine will repeat the last cut.

Modernized rollers

Thanks to the modernized rollers, it is possible to cut even narrow materials with a width of about 13 cm without using a mat. In addition, the manufacturer, in order to obtain the best possible stabilization during work, and thus cutting precision, placed removable auxiliary rollers on the plotter rail, especially useful for larger projects.

Stand with basket

The stand with the basket must be purchased separately, it is not necessary to use the plotter, but it is a particularly helpful solution when cutting many projects from foil directly from the roll. It allows for work automation, thanks to which you can save time, especially in combination with the built-in cutter, which you can use manually or mark automatic cutting of material fragments. Using the stand also allows for convenient use of the plotter even in a small studio and ensures mobility.

Compatibility with gilding and embossing tools

The modernized carriage, similarly to the latest Cameo 5 model, allows you to use tools for gilding and embossing. You can therefore make unique decorations, inscriptions and ornaments, and the embossing tool will also allow you to make fold lines and make invitations or 3D sculptures.

Software extensions

Silhouette Studio is a great tool for uploading and designing your own patterns. It also allows you to conveniently use ready-to-cut patterns purchased in the manufacturer's Silhouette Design Store. However, if you create in another vector graphics program or have your own patterns, for example in the popular .svg format, it is worth purchasing a program extension to one of two versions.

Designer Edition

It allows you to import files in .gsd, .dxf, .svg and .pdf formats. It also offers more advanced tools for vectorization, modifying patterns and organizing fonts into folders. Allows you to create guides and layers. It can be installed on three devices and support 1 plotter.

Business Edition

It offers functions useful for people running small businesses, such as operating three Silhouette plotters from one computer. Additionally, it supports files in .dst, .exp, .jef, .xxx, .ai, .eps, .cdr formats. Additionally, it allows you to export files in .svg, .pdf, .jpeg formats. With its help, you can automatically create guide lines for convenient removal of the foil.
