Description

The replacement blade for the Cricut Joy plotter allows you to replace the cutting tip in the holder when the previous blade becomes dull. The blade is only compatible with the Cricut Joy holder. It cannot be used in holders adapted to other Cricut cutter models - standard or premium blade.
After some time, the plotter blade may become blunt and no longer cut patterns accurately. The blade should be replaced when, using the same paper and settings as before, the blade does not cut through the material or the edges of the pattern are frayed.

You do not need to replace the lampholder that was included with the device. Simply purchase a replacement blade and insert it into the original attachment according to the instructions below:

Unlock the blade with the blue latch.
Grab the blade and pull it upwards.
Press the button on the top of the frame. This will allow the blade to slide out so you can gently remove it.
Unpack the new blade from the box and then remove the plastic protective cover.
Grab the blade gently (so as not to cut yourself) by the sharp tip and insert it into the hole in the frame.
Slowly release the button on the top of the holder and the blade will slide into the correct position.
Insert the holder into the holder in the plotter from above.
Close the handle with the blue latch.
