Brother SDX Thin Fabric Auto Blade allows you to cut many different materials with a thickness of 0.25 to 0.5 mm (depending on the material). With it you can cut, among others, thin tissue paper, fabrics and knitted fabrics. It is dedicated to materials without a backing that should be placed on the plotter mat during the cutting process. The interchangeable blade for thin fabrics should be used with an automatic blade holder, making it very easy to adjust settings for different materials. To use the blade, place it in the Brother SDX plotter holder and the device will select the best cutting settings for a given material.
The blade is a consumable element of the plotter and wears out during the cutting process. The blade should be replaced when the cut has lost its accuracy. This may manifest itself as torn edges of the paper or material not cut through.
Thanks to the replaceable blade, you can restore perfect cutting precision to your plotter. The construction of the blades used in Brother plotters allows you to replace only the blade, and replacing the mounting bracket is not necessary.
To mount the blade in the plotter, an automatic thin knife holder for SDX is required. It is not included with the product.
