How to use self-adhesive foil?

1. Design your design – design a graphic, text or shape in your plotter software (e.g. Silhouette Studio).

2. Cut the foil – place the foil in the plotter and cut out your design. The foil does not require a mat if you are using a device that supports direct cutting.

3. Remove unnecessary elements – use the hook tool to remove unnecessary parts of the foil

4. Use transfer foil – transfer the finished design to the selected surface.

5. Done! – enjoy precise, durable and aesthetic application.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes. After proper application and proper fixation of the foil (it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours before first contact with water), the foil is dishwasher safe. This makes it ideal for personalizing cups, bottles or kitchen containers - without worrying about the pattern rubbing off.

For maximum durability, follow these tips:

• Make sure the foil design is applied to a dishwasher-safe surface. For specific information, check the manufacturer's website.
•  Make sure the surface of the item is clean - free from dirt, glue residue from stickers or price tags. 
• Make sure the surface of the design is completely dry before applying the foil. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth, then leave to dry completely. 
• When applying the design, make sure there are no bubbles or creases. 
• Leave the design for 24-48 hours after application to ensure the foil adheres properly to the surface. Washing dishes beforehand can reduce the durability of the foil. 
• Only wash on the top rack of the dishwasher. 
• Avoid additional cycles with increased temperatures or using steam. 
• You can use liquid, powder and capsule detergents.
