Silhouette Transfer Tape for Adhesive Vinyl

What Is Silhouette Transfer Tape Used For?

After cutting your design from adhesive vinyl, remove the unwanted vinyl surrounding the project. Transfer tape is then applied over the finished design to lift the cut elements from their original backing.

The complete design can then be positioned on a suitable surface. Once the vinyl has been applied, the transfer tape is carefully removed, leaving the design in place.

This makes applying more detailed vinyl projects much easier.

5. Lift the design from the original vinyl backing.

6. Position it on the intended surface.

7. Press the design down and carefully remove the transfer tape.

A scraper or squeegee can be useful for firmly applying the material.

Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) is the actual material from which a design is cut and is typically applied to compatible textiles using heat and pressure.
